i didn't see this usage from dictionary ---need + somebody + to do .it seees like we ca not say "need somebody to do something", but i did hear this sentence "i need you to be brave " in tv . what do you think ?

It is correct in modern usage but colloquial. Used to be a declarative sentence: "You must be brave".
I verb a noun to be adjective.
