Currently I am living out in Muscat, Oman and for my work I'd like to use my camera underwater instead of my GoPro as the image quality will be much better. I know its more of a hassle but the seas are also filled with plankton atm so the GoPro is struggling to pic up fish in the videos. Any ideas are much appreciated, thanks.

How deep are you going, and what lens are you using?
There are decent bags that cost much less than the full-blown housings, and are good for shallow work (10-15 meters). If you are going much deeper, then you really do need a full housing.
B&H has a full selection of both waterproof bags and housings. The good bags are still in the 200 pound range, but that's a lot less than a thousand.
Underwater housings for cameras are Never cheap.
Either find one you can rent or forget the whole idea.
All of the housings for the 750D are in the same 1,000 pound price range. Your only option is to buy used or see if someone rents the housing.
Another option is getting a housing for a smaller mirrorless camera which is a lot cheaper. The added bonus of using a Sony mirrorless is that they're much better at video than Canon DSLRs. Here's a link to B&H showing that you can buy an underwater housing for about 1/10th the cost of a DSLR housing: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?ci=16477&fct...
Thoughts:
If plankton is thick enough you can't see the fish with the GoPro then it will be the same with the 750D.
In photography, you get exactly what you pay for so if you want good quality, prepare to pay a good amount of cash too.
Let's rephrase that. Would you trust a $10 plastic bag to protect a $600 camera?
Image quality depends on your skill. The camera is only a tool.
yes do it
