I wanna cut my hair short but i don’t know how it will come out?
I’m looking to cut my hair short i want it fluffy in the front and shorter in the back about colarbone length yahoo won’t let me attach pictures so my instagram is sadlymadii if you want to help me
It's always a bit frightening the first time you have your hair cut much shorter than you're used to. However, the important thing to remember is that hair grows back, and you can always wear headbands and style it in different ways until it does.
As someone who has had quite a few different pixie cuts in her lifetime, I almost always advise to go for it. Find as many pictures as you can of the style you're considering, then narrow those down to your favorites. I usually like to print out those few favorites so the stylist has something to look at the entire time they're cutting your hair, but if you have them saved somewhere reliable and make sure your phone is charged ahead of time, that works too.
In order to see how it MIGHT look (to get a general idea, so to speak), I'd suggest going to a website where you can "try on" different hair styles and colors. You upload a picture of yourself then chose the styles you'd like to see on yourself. I posted one such site below, but there are tons. It's not a foolproof way, but you can get a sense of what it might look like.
Last but not least (sorry about the long answer), know what looks good on you in terms of layering, bangs, etc. Personally, with my thick hair and style, I love razoring. (If you don't know what that is, it basically gives you nice, choppy-looking layers.) This is also a technique that looks great with pixie cuts as it allows you to utilize products to really create the look you're going for. Make sure to let your stylist know what you like and don't like in a haircut, but also let him or her help you with this new look by making suggestions, including which products to use.
Life isn't long enough to worry about this sort of stuff. You should do it. In the long run, when you're a grandma with your nipples near your ankles, you'll regret having not made this mistake of having a slightly adventurous haircut.
