I think I'm in love with this girl, but I never even got her on a date. We went to high school together and we were friends, but now I go to college an hour and a half drive away from her. We started talking again recently after a couple months of silence and  I realize how much I miss her. I have fantasies about quitting college to go be with her, or somehow convincing her to come up to college with me (she plans on going into the military in about a year's time). Yet I'm getting mixed signals from her. She tells me stuff like "I used to have a crush on you" or "please come visit me soon" or "I wanna come visit you soon and can't wait to see you". Yet sometimes she doesn't even want to talk. I don't know what to do, and need some advice.

I'm planning on seeing her in a couple weeks when I visit home and I might make a move there idk. I think what I'm really asking is if we do hit it off, then could a long distance relationship work, one that's limited to next summer when she ships out to boot camp?
