This has been happening to me since I was little. It happens to many people. I did not really realize until I think about it. It is kind like this unexplainable vague feeling. You don't really remember exactly that you experienced this moment before. It only lasts for about 2 seconds.
Deja vu may not be because you actually saw something in your life before, but because you feel attached to the sign someway.
Hmm, that's quite rare. I'm wondering if perhaps you have experienced dejavu before and simply didn't recognize it. And since there's no good description of it, let me have a go.
Dejavu feels like a hiccup or jump in one's perception of Time when you recognize future events unfolding before your eyes. You know the specific words about to be spoken or can foretell actions in meticulous detail. It lasts only seconds, but in those few seconds you know precisely, exactly what's about to occur. So déjàvu is foreknowledge of the future which means it’s a precognitive experience.
Few people realize this, but dejavu is not a memory per say; it's the memory of a DREAM. They're not reliving events or recalling things they've done before, but have *dreamed* about them before. With practice, some find they can even remember approximately when they had that dream- whether it was weeks or months ago. (I had a dejavu moment this morning that I remember dreaming about six months ago.)
So that would be my question- *Do you usually remember your dreams?* If not, that could be the answer for why you're not having dejavu. Otherwise, I could refer you to an acquaintance of mine who's a Psi researcher and has doctorate degrees in Parapsychology and two other academic fields. Surely he'd be able to give you an answer, so email me if you're interested.
Deja vu is when you see a setting and possibly a series of actions that looks SIMILAR to something you've experienced before and your brain tells you youve seen it before. Maybe you just haven't been in that situation

Neither have I.
Neither have I. I'm sure that's entirely normal.
