I have a really last minute MRI scan (someone else’s was cancelled) , and I have 3 week old lobe piercings, what do I do?
I have no time to visit anywhere to get them replaced with a safer material for the scan, would it be safe to take my piercings out for the duration of the scan (which I believe would take 15-60 mins for mine), and sterilise them?

All metal must be removed for MRI
You need to use some of your alcohol or another disinfectant that you've already been using.

Keep your delayed appt, they should give you the choice.
take them out and put them back in ASAP
I see two options.
1. Delay the scan.
2. Speak to whoever did the piercing, and ask their advice. Maybe they can put in a safer material.
