I used to cut myself and almost all of my scars have faded. It does take a little time though. I have one scar left on my leg from cutting pretty deeply (several years ago, so I assume it's permanent), but that's about it. So, to answer your question, it probably isn't permanent, but it may take a few months to totally disappear. And there aren't any guarantees.

I do hope that you talk to someone soon. Trust me, I did this for a long time and you don't want to get into it. I felt like I had to hide my pain, and I went through hell. There's no reason for you to suffer through this alone. Hopefully you can talk to your family, but if not, at least tell a friend or someone you trust. You deserve better than this!

if you cut too deep yes the scar will stay there permenatly. you can have them removed by a doctor which is very popular or there is cream out there to get rid of scars. i recomend you talk to your parents about your cutting problem before you end up cutting a vein or somthing.

I don't think the scar is your biggest worry. It might be time to talk to someone.

Clean it like you would clean any cut.

If they don't go away, look at them every day as a reminder not to do stupid things you will regret later.
