I burned myself with a 500°f straightner.?
Ok so about 4 days ago I was over at a friends house and we were straightning our hair until I accidently moved her cord to her straightner which ended up falling on my foot. She said the straightner was 500°s! (I don't even cook with the stove that hot) Anyways the burn now is a brownish color and is raised and I seems that it has liquid inside it. Should I poke it open and let it dry out or leave it? I can't go to the hospital because I don't have insurance and I haven't wrapped it or anything. Also will it scar my foot? The side of the flat iron fell on me so its a pretty long burn probably about 3 inches long give or take. How long will it take to heal? Will the bump on my foot forever? When and how can i get rid of it?

This is a superficial second degree burn and does not need medical attention but does require some care. It is important that you do not pop the blister. Keep the area dry and if you can, apply a bandage. It should heal within a week or two and the scarring should be unnoticeable after it heals completely.
I highly doubt the straightener was 500 degrees. She was most likely exaggerating. That's way too hot for a straighter. Most usually go up to about 380 degrees.
Do NOT poke it. That will increase the chances of it getting infected. It will most likely take several weeks to over a month to heal. The bump won't be on your foot forever. Let it heal naturally. Wrap it loosely in gauze and wear shoes that don't irritate it.
do NOT poke or puncture the blister. the liquid inside the blister is your body's best attempt to heal.
to encourage healing, try covering the area with a burn cream.
aloe vera is nice (but make sure you get actual aloe vera, not an alcohol/chemical cocktail with some aloe vera in it). also, "burn stuff" works really well and is available at many drug stores. you can also get vitamin e pills, lance them, and squeeze the clear gel onto the wounded area. in a pinch, classic yellow mustard will work (and as an added bonus will stain everything you own!)
don't dry it out. don't puncture it. don't get it hot.
patience.
oh god, that happened to me once. I burned my arm and there were liquidy fluids inside a bubble. My cousin accidently popped it and now, theres a big scar. It's like blackish brown spot on my hand now. It took like around a few weeks for it to completely heal off.
