This does not make sense. You are collecting "orphan's benefits"... When a parent dies, the surviving spouse applies for widow/widower's benefits, and any orphan's benefits for their minor children. At the age of 18, you are a legal adult and no longer entitled to an orphan's benefit. So... if you're old enough to marry (18), you're no longer receiving the benefit. If you're still receiving it, you're not old enough to get married. IF you are married, you are considered to be a self-supporting adult and you get A FOCKING JOB.
So the two of you want it figured out so that you don't have to ever earn a living. Are you planning on having a baby that taxpayers will have to support as well?
You'll reach a birthday at which those survivor benefits will disappear so it would not be wise to design your life around a guarantee of them.
