You are single or have no significant other. You will always be her daughter. It does not matter whether your mother ir any family member is dysfunctional. You are solupposed to come home for Christmas if you are single or have no children. Think about the people who have no living close family members who have sold the house they called home or who are unable to go home. Your mother is not going to live forever.
Tell her you will come, when the others come....after all its a family holiday

Your mother isn't making you do anything. If you don't wish to go to her home, then man up and tell her no. Or, just go for a while and make up a good excuse to be somewhere else.

if you are an adult she cannot make you do anything, she is guilting you into maybe, but not making you go. If you don't want to go then don't go.
