How to find the total area of a regular hexagon with side length 2√6?
How to find the total area of a regular hexagon with side length 2√6? I know you can use the 30-60-90 method but I'm not sure how to do this one since it has a square root for the sides.
30-60-90 method. Each side is 2rt6. The 2 side is 2rt6 in the 1:2: rt 3. Divide by two to get the smallest side, rt6. To get the rt3 side, multiply by rt3 to get rt18 or 3rt2. 1/2bh*6. 1/2(2rt6)(3rt2)(6). Rt6(3rt2)(6). 3rt12(6). 6rt3(6). 36rt3 units^2
