Hello there!
I'm an IT student. Currently I hold a part-time job in tech support, and a half-courseload at school. I'm looking to apply for a second part-time job at a sushi place, however am unsure what to put on my résumé.
My current résumé mentions things like what programming languages I know, what tools I'm familiar with, examples of my coding...
I'm sure a sushi place wouldn't really care about any of that.
How do I customize my résumé to be applicable to this field? I have no experience outside of IT.

I would go ahead and stick with telling them what you actually know. If you don't know food service, it will show on your first day. So what you do is attach a cover letter explaining who you are and what you want (The way you have it formed in this question is perfect.) and hope you get an interview.
Once there at the video, you can say one of my stockphrases:
I am a motivated, hard worker who loves to learn new skills. I am a fast learner and I enjoy hitting the ground at a run.
Blah blah blah, you know the rest!
Good luck!
I googled, went to the library and some programs like microsoft office has great examples
