I didn't have any money saved.....I did have a really nice apt, a nice car, went on yearly vacations out of the Country, and money saved for Christmas.
probably like $1k or less. im not a saver im a spender. one of the bad habits of mine. one of my biggest regrets is not saving earlier on in life. now that im older i can save but it's harder too because i dont make a lot of money and cost of living here is like half of my check per month. rest i spend on food, and w.e.
Easy back then my husband and I had no money saved. He was in school getting his master's and I was working.
Before I met my husband, when I was 21 and at the end of college, I had $3, 000 saved. In today's dollars that would be about $7,100. I had an academic scholarship, worked 20-25 hours a week, and lived at my parents house and commuted for the first 3 years of college.
