Dear Sir,
Honestly speaking I did not know whom to write this mail, though you might not be the right official; however, I am sure that you would be kind enough to provide me genuine information or forward this mail to the concerned department of Yahoo who will guide me in this regard.
I have received an email about ‘Yahoo Lottery” and it stated that I have won a lottery. I am just wondering if this in formation is genuine or just a spam. Before I take any stapes, I would like to know about the reality of it from the authentic source. I am attaching the received mail below and looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you very much.
Sincerely yours,
D.Roy
PS: I received the mail from: [email protected]

it's a scam period, and Mike how do you know its origins are Nigerian, there are scams all over Africa and Asia with associates from U.S. Britain, Canada and India. I'm not offended and I'm not Nigerian but don't you think you're labelling people here?
There is no such lottery. It is a SCAM. If Yahoo were to hold a lottery, you can be sure there would be lots of advertising about it all over their web sites. Just delete that email. Do not reply to it and do not click any links that might be in it. NEVER open emails from people you don't know.
Did you enter a lottery? If not, how would you expect to win something? this is a scam and has been going on for years. Yahoo does not conduct lotteries or give away money.
It's a nigerian email scam.. They are trying to rob your bank account. Delete the email..
SCAM.....SCAM..
Ignore it..SCAM
