I don't know how to solve this so if someone could show me how to solve it that would be great, the answer to this is apparantly x < -3 but i don't even know where to start
Distribute
-7 - 4x + 12 > 23 + 2x
Combine like terms
5 - 4x > 23 + 2x
Move x terms to left and constants to right
-5 - 2x...-5 - 2x
-------------------
-6x > 18
Divide both sides by -6 which reverses the inequality (you do that if you divide or multiply by a negative)
x < -3
first expand
-7x + 12 > 23 + 2x
terms on the same side
-9x > 11
divide x by -9
x < (11/-9)
