Hi, to get to Elcano, you can ride a jeep to Divisoria, and get off as far as the jeepney driver would go. Depending on the traffic, you might be asked to get off at Claro M. Recto cor. Jose Abad Santos / Reina Regente or as far as Tutuban Center. There are lots of tricycles in Binondo so you can hop on the first one you see and ask the driver to take you to Elcano (fare should be between 30-50 pesos). You can also choose to walk 8-10 blocks along Claro M. Recto, past Narra, Antonio Rivera, Roman, Tutuban Center, Dagupan, Soler, Bo. Menu, Juan Luna, Fiesta Shopping Plaza, Ylaya, Philippine Cultural High School, Tabora, Carmen Planas, and Sto. Cristo, until you get to Elcano. Here's the Google map of the area: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&sourc...
You can go to Binondo by jeepney and/or cab. Elcano is near Sto Cristo and Divisoria where it's almost unpassable by vehicle because of street vendors selling fruits and fireworks at this time. If you're riding a jeep to Juan Luna Binondo or Divisoria, chances are the jeep will let you hop off at the Lorenzo Ruiz circle. Then you'd have to walk or pay a higher fee for a pedicab to take you to Elcano.
I'm not sure which jeepney to take but when by car, we take Roxas Blvd straight past Intramuros and right to Delpan (ingat with the squatters) then left to Lavezares or San Nicolas. Elcano is one of the streets perpendicular to those two.
