Do you think your school has a problem with bullying/differences?
If so, I think having something like this is a great idea. My high school did something similar when I was a sophomore (I'm now a junior in college). However, it wasn't taped or aired, and it wasn't by the same people who do it on MTV.
If you want to get your school on the show, specifically, there's no guarantees. It may not happen. However, I went to mtv.com and found it for you-- Just follow this link.
They're booking Challenge Days for the next 2 years now. You'll need to have a school administrator or staff member fill the form out and send it in. The site says they will notify you of their schedules and a possible show (usually within a month).
If you can't get a challenge day, I urge you to talk to your principal or school board about having a motivational speaker come in to talk to the student body about school unity and social responsibility, because they'll do something similar to the program with different approaches. Most motivational speakers do not run boring programs- good ones are easy to listen to, fun, emotional, and get you to think.
These activities do wonders for schools, if the students take them seriously. See if the student body would be interested in something like this, and then get an adult on board and set SOMETHING up. Don't give up if mtv rejects the request for your school.
Kudos for getting involved! The world needs people who are willing to bring attention to issues instead of letting it all happen, like you! You should be proud of yourself.
