File an appeal. Don't count on winning it though. You quit the job. You should have taken every legal step to stop the treatment you endured before quitting.
I'm not sure if you are eligible for this because your case is not quite fitting to what the requirement is.. see below.
<Eligible check>
Although specific eligibility requirements vary from state to state, most states have the same basic standards for collecting unemployment benefits. They include:
-You must be unemployed or working less than full time
-You must meet certain income requirements
-You must be ready, willing, and able to work
-You must have involuntarily left your job
In general, you won't be eligible for benefits if:
-You quit your job simply because you didn't like it
-You're fired for committing a crime (e.g., stealing)
-You've never worked before
But I'd recommend you to go ahead and call your local unemployment office, and get a clear answer.
You can appeal and the instructions on how to do so were on the denial notice.
But if you didn't take action while on the job to deal with the problem or can't come up with better evidence of a hostile workplace then you are not going to win the appeal.
You need to prove a hostile work environment. Tough to do.
