@ matthew : i am not agree with you? history has proved that the meaning of sin has changed in different situation and according to that time for example at 1400 years ago a prophet in the age of 53 got marry with a six years girl and that wasnt sin in that time according to islam follower words but what do you call a today a man who is in the age of 53 and marry with a 6 years girl?
Update 3:@ jim: my answer to your question is yes we need it because with passing time we face with new necessities and new problems for example there were nt any technology in 1400 years ago so they told there is nothing wrong if a man get marry with more than one wife in the same time but its sin if a women get marry with more than one husband in the same time because its not possible to find who is the dad of that kid i am not going to tell its true but with progressing medicine and genetics now its possible so is that agreeable a women have more than one husband in the same time ofcourse no but we should know because of the same reasons men shouldnt have more than one wife in the same time because no one doesnt like to share another one in her /his love .

I posted this question two days ago, similar to yours - but only got a very few responses. I was basically, asking people the same question.
"Do you want a NEW Dialog with God?
Hopefully, more people will answer this question this time around. Yes, the word “Dialogue” can also be correctly spelled as “Dialog” See this entry on Webster’s Dictionary:
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionar%E2%80%A6
I will call the God of the Bible, “Yesterday’s God.” Obviously, much about what this world says about God has been inaccurate. Consider how dysfunctional the world has been and is today. I believe it is not due to a lack of people listening or studying or believing what they have been given. It is due to an inaccurate and incomplete understanding of who God is AND how this world really works. Yesterday’s God is an incomplete God, one who demands mindless obedience, creates punishments and rewards, is limiting and is limited, appears separate and distant. I believe humanity requires a new dialog and a more complete understanding of God and what, if anything, who God really is. This may be scary to those who have come to believe that any conversation is already finished – for they are living in the belief that Yesterday’s God is complete. Yet, that God has not provided solutions which have worked, because we can see the results right now, today. Look at the world and be honest. Look at your own life and be honest.
My Questions to you: Have the solutions offered for life on this planet contained in the Bible or any other holy text (Koran, etc.), been functional to the point our world has achieved a world that works to our benefit? Has what you have learned about life demonstrated you, we are SAFE, derived from the principles taught in these texts? Have the principles contained in them, lead to a functional world where life is respected and life is a joy worth living? Or does, what you witness day after day happening here tell you that what we know is incomplete, inaccurate, unworkable for the world and life? Does this DEMAND a new conversation with God, one in which we are provided with 21st century solutions to 21st century problems?
BTW, I am not suggesting a new religion or cult be formed"
Can you answer my question?
Truth never changes.
God tells you the truth. If you do not know God, you will not know the truth. When you know God, you will know the truth. Then you will have a choice to make. Accept the truth or deny the truth. It is always that way.
Jesus is the Way, the truth, and the life.
Sin is disobedience and the rules have always been the same.
The sin problem hasn't changed in the last 6,000 years.
So we still need God's rules for right living.
