So what’s happening is when I put this lens on a dslr camera. The camera thinks there is no lens even though the lens is secure and locked into place. Please help me I’ve been trying to fix this issue myself for a long time and I don’t know what to do.

Using a micro fiber cloth, wipe down the gold contacts on the rear of the lens and the gold pins inside the camera body.
If that doesn't work, then the lens is broken and should just be thrown away as repair costs will great exceed it's used replacement value. If it is broken, then that wouldn't surprise me at all considering how bad of a failure rate Minolta products had prior to them going bankrupt.
I assume that you are trying to use the lens on a Sony digital SLR or a Minolta film-based SLR.
Whatever you do don't bother to tell us which camera you are trying to use it on. SMFH!
sometimes a lens is off-line if its f-stop ring is not LOCKED into the correct position, not sure if yours has a locking f-stop ring or not. usually ERROR is displayed or some similar in that case. the dslr must always be OFF when removing or refitting a lens.
Minolta lenses will work on a Sony DSLR/DSLT body... with a couple of exceptions. Several of those exceptions involve Xi lenses.

It helps to tell us which brand and model of camera you are using as well, as in this case and probably others, it does make a difference.
Many DSLR cameras are designed to communicate electrically with their lenses - not just mechanically. Is it possible your lens is not designed to electrically connect with that particular brand of camera body?
