Please help me with this:
(t−s)^2
(t - s)^2 is the same as (t - s)(t - s)
So use FOIL, which means First, Outside, Inside, Last
Multiply the Firsts: t * t = t^2
Multiply the Outsides: t * -s = -st
Multiply the Insides: -s * t = -st
Multiply the Lasts: -s * -s = s^s
Add them all together
t^2 - st - st + s^2 = t^2 - 2st + s^2
=(t−s)^2
=(t-s)(t-s)
=t^2-ts-ts+s^2
=t^2 + s^2 - 2ts
