I’m adopting an adult dog named Sasa but I’m not a big fan of that name. Sasha sounds similar so I’m considering that. Any other ideas of a similar sounding name?
Try to fight the urge to change its name. That is what the dog has always been called and has always responded to. Thats like your parents changing your name from Shelby to Sally at the age of 8 years old.
Sasa is only the name the rescue place gave her. They did not have her original name & for records purposes, she had to have a name. Find the name that suits her & just start using that name & she will learn that the new name is her.
The first name I chose for a dog is usually not the last one. I keep trying out new names until I find one that really suits the particular dog.
Call the dog what you want, the dog doesn't care, it will just get used to anything you call it.......and the reality is if you are getting it from rescue it is likely, they call it that, its previous home called it something else and you have no idea how many homes it has had or how many different names it has been called

I've always liked the name Rasa :)
I adopted a dog named Eleven. I found it too long and hard to shout out if I'm angry so I changed it Legs. She's a Dachshund.
Call it what you want. The dog should/will adjust.

How about the sisi
PS: If you need the pet seat covers check out cupets.
I like Shasha. The dog will have less of time adjusting to a new name.
How about "SASHA"? !
I think Shelby would be good.

Dusta? Its actually quite easy to retrain your poochy to recognise a different name as long as you got some tasty treats on you lol
