√16x + √x^5
4 √x + √x^5
????????????
thats as far as I got, can't figure out how to get the right answer. The back of the book says the answer is:
(x^2+4) √x I just need to learn how to do it, and of course show my work.

√(16x) + √(x^5)
= 4√(x) + x^2√(x)
=(x^2 + 4)√(x) answer//
Simplify, then factor out...
â16x + âx^5
=[ (â 4^2 x) + (âx x x x x)]
=[ (â 4^2 x) + (â(x x) (x x) x)]
=[ (â 4^2 x) + (âx^2 . x^2 . x)]
=[4 (â x) +x.x (âx)]
=[4 (â x) +x^2 (âx)]
=[4 (â x) +x^2(âx)]
=[ (â x) (4 + x^2) ]
(x^2+4) âx
Given;Sqrt(16x)+sqrt(x
=4 sqrt x+x²sqrt x
=(4+x²).sqrtx
Note;
Sqrt(x⁴.x)=sqrt x

â(16x) + âx⁵
= 4âx + â(x⁴ x)
= 4âx + â(x⁴)âx
= 4âx + â(x⁴)âx
= 4âx + x²âx â now, factor out âx
= (4 + x²)âx
Have a good one!
