Just recently I attended a best friends’ family party as per usual but the unusual part of this particular party was that for the first time ever my long time crush who always attends noticed me. I feel this may have been due to it either being my first time singing in front of her family and guests or my small moments of solitude I had in between family and friend chats. Whatever it was that spurred him to finally approach me was a pleasant surprise for me. He said he liked my voice and I should participate in a singing competition and throughout the night after that I would take a peek his way (as usual) and for the first time he would also be looking directly at me and we would smile at each other. During another moment later on that night he even went as far as coming up from behind me and covering my eyes and when I saw him come to stand beside me and observe me while I sang one other song I was so speechless all I could do was smile. This is highly unsual for him as he is a very quiet and shy guy. In all the years I’ve know him I’ve never even seen him bring a girlfriend to an event. Does this sudden interaction with him mean he might like me or am I overthinking it and should just move on as I had already decided? Should I have made another move to further the interaction or would that scare a shy guy like himself off?
