Okay so we were laying in bed and he asked me to rub his leg cause it was sore, doing so I found a lump in his thigh. It wasn't a surface lump or anything that could be zit related. It was full on under his skin and it felt like one of those lumps you'd see in a doctors office that specializes in breast cancer and whatnot. He thinks he's fine. I might have scared him by saying he should check it out with a doctor. He doesn't have health insurance, his job doesn't offer it until six months and he's going on his 3rd month. Could this in anyway be cancerous? I want to find a way to get him to see a doctor to find out for sure but the no health insurance crap, if some of you have had it, could you let me know what it is and everything? Maybe put my mind at ease if it is not cancerous. Thanks everyone.
Update:Sorry, I don't know that much about cancerous stuff. My grandma had breast cancer and when I went with her the doctors had the thing on the wall with the sizes of breast cancer lumps.. I read just a little in cancer and it said lumps could be found on breasts, testicles, or other parts of the body. And it's not squishy, can't move it around. It literally feels like there is a rock in his leg a little bigger than a quarter dollar.

Many bruises on legs form very hard knots beneath them that last long after the surface bruise is gone. My son had a lump on/in his thigh for close to three months following a fall.
OK, gonna apologize before I even answer this, maybe I am in a bad mood today,
But some of these questions get a little on the psychotic side.
Why does every one assume that because there is a lump, its cancer !! the two primary cancers that can usually be detected with lumps, a mass or swelling is breast cancer and testicular cancer. What I mean by that is, it is the two cancers that you can actually feel, externally the lump or the mass. With that said, it does not mean it is cancerous, it could also be a benign mass. Almost all other cancers that cause a lump, mass or tumor cannot be felt externally. They will find those via MRI's, CT scans etc....and there are usually found do the the patients complaint of something totally unrelated to the mass or lump.
So, based on your question, he may have a swollen lymph gland, which means usually a minor infection, NOT CANCER and the other thing it may be is a deep abscess or boil. If this is the case, the doctor will prescribe antibiotics, and may have to lance open and drain the infection, this is the most likely based on your description.
But, as I always say, I am not a Doctor, so he should have it checked
it is most likely a fatty/sebaceous cyst, especially if it is squishy and movable to the touch (benign tumor- not-cancerous). take him to the doctor just too be safe and get a biopsy done to ease your mind. usually in those areas it is just fat, swollen lymph nodes may signify cancer are generally found in the armpits, breast, neck, groin (can feel similar).
