Find the next three terms of the arithmetic sequence 11, 3, -5, -13, ….
the difference between each term is -8, so the next three terms are:
-21, -29, -37
that's it! ;)
In this case, all they are doing is subtracting 8 from each term to get the next term in the sequence:
11 - 8 = 3; 3 - 8 = -5; -5 - 8 = -13, and so forth.
find the next 3 terms of this arithmetic sequence 3.5,2,0.5,-1.0
I'll agree with all the answers from here and above, but really...how bad is your grasp of basic math not to be able to figure this out? I'm betting that it took more time to type the question than it took the rest of us to have the answer.
