So here's my situation:
I wanted to dye my hair red just for fun, but not completely damaging my hair, so I bought manic panic "vampire red" and it wasn't the color I wanted (but still looked cool) but now i'm over it. It's a hassle and it's turned my tub pink so I would like to get it all out as soon as possible. It's been about 1 week since I dyed it, and it hasn't faded, just bled on all of my stuff -_-
I bought a Paul Mitchell Clarifying shampoo and have been using that when I shower every other day, shampooing my hair twice then condition. It's faded a bit, but I don't know what else to do to speed this up a bit.
I do NOT want to color over it, I'm done killing my hair, I just want the color to fade out as much as possible.
Any tips on how to get the color out WITHOUT damaging my hair would be much appreciated!
P.S. I did NOT bleach my hair before dying it with manic panic, but my hair had been colored dark brown about 3 weeks prior but washed out by the time I used manic panic. (My hair color is naturally brown)

dishwashing liquid. if you want to strip the color out fast then go buy some dawn or joy or some other dishwashing liquid & wash your hair w/ that a couple of times.
don't get the antibacterial stuff or the stuff that is easy on your hands you want the plain old regular dishwashing soap.
get it on your hair & lather up good & massage the soap into your hair (not your scalp) then rinse it all out with cold water until the water runs clear.
if the first washing doesn't get it out wash it a second time. If your natural hair color is blonde then it's going to take a while (a few days & a few washings) to get it out. if you have darker hair then it shouldn't be noticable in a day or two.
If you bleached your hair before you dyed it red then you're screwed. you're going to have to color it again or let it grow out & cut it out as your hair grows.
i used manic panic on my nieces hair (i gave them pink panels) and they have naturally really light blonde hair. they went swimming at the pool a few days later and the pink totally washed out because of the chlorine. get to the public pool!
