How can you find that answer? just from 3x³y² (6x²)=
I don't understand how they found this answer I'm trying to learn so please try to dumb down explaining it if possible if not I understand
Update:Ok I get that but why is y^2 ignored till after the equations over?

x^3 = x*x*x
x^2 = x*x
x^3*x^2 = x*x*x...*x*x = x^5........just add the exponents together
If the exponent is OUTSIDE the parenthesis like this.... x^3(^2), then it is x^3*x^3 = x^6
