The easiest to understand are intellectual, emotional, and social. Positive life events affect how a person matures and understands the world around them. Intellectually, someone brought up within a positive atmosphere is likely to want to make change happen, locally or otherwise that helps brings a more positive feel to the community, prompting them to think about what they could do to make this happen (as an example). Emotionally, someone brought up with positive experiences, such as love, is more likely to be friendly and happy with other people (which also ties in to the social aspect). Socially, a person brought up with positive experiences will be more active with other people and want to interact more. All three tie together very nicely. As for physical, a good example could be that a person brought up with positive experiences could be healthy and want to maintain their health through exercise and diet.
Now, there's another aspect to this too, which I didn't know if you wanted incorporated into this answer:
A person brought up with physical positivity is less likely to be abusive. With intellectual positivity, they are more likely to read and write, and think critically. With emotional positivity, they will be more caring towards others. And with social positivity, they will be more involved with people and less likely to be reclusive.
That is my take on how you could better understand the question.
There are many times that some negative experiences have driven people to strive harder to get out of the situation they never wanted to be. I was healthy but became lame after six months from being born and I grew up as an object of laughter and insults judged with doubt that I can be useful anywhere. Education and inspiration drove me to lose the insecurities and have proven myself to be even better than merely an average achiever. Accept what you may impossibly physically lift or carry with bare hands and limited strength but learn to find a device that can make you do it. Technology today is what miracle has done in the past. We have a sublime paralytic that has made a very successful plan to over throw a powerful foreign influence that controlled our country for more than 360 years.Take lessons from those things that you think are defeating you.
