A. The temperature bounces up and down from year to year and from season to season, obviously, but the average is slowly creeping upwards.
(Note: This question isn't controversial. Some people argue that humans aren't responsible for the temperature increase, but it's quite clear from the data that the temperatures are increasing.)
I agree with Jason, I would answer: A.
The point is that the global temperature isn't increasing evenly. During the past 35 years, we have observed about one degree Celsius increase in the north of the northern hemisphere, half of that in the southern and nothing really noticeable in the tropics.
That would support the idea that the release of CO2 from fossil fuel combustion is responsible for the greenhouse effect since the northern part of the northern hemisphere is where most combustion finds place.
