The Trinity doctrine clearly states that there are three Persons who are equally the One Being of God. It's ludicrous for anti-Trinitarians to go on about how Jesus cannot be the Father, when that is exactly what Trinitarians state! There is no problem with the fact that there are three distinct Persons. The baptism clearly depicts the Father speaking from heaven, the Holy Spirit appearing as a dove, and the incarnate Son standing in the waters of the Jordan hearing His Father, and having the Holy Spirit descend upon Him. The problems arise when the Father is said to be God, and Jesus is said to be divine - a deity - a god. Then you have two separate Gods/gods. That is totally unbiblical. Only if the three Persons comprise the One Being of the One God does it uphold the truth of the Shema.

Ratzinger says " Jesus was standing on the bank of the river Jordan amongst a throng of people waiting to be Baptised by John."
That quote in his Book is based on assumption. There is Not a single verse in scripture to back that line up about Jesus waiting with others.
