I received a call from Boston Market today. While I was on the phone, the manager invited me in for an interview. It’s for a night dishwasher’s position. This is not my first interview, but it would be my first job if the manager decides to hire me. Since I’ve never had a job before, I don’t know if I should expect them to train me to become a dishwasher. If training is involved, then for how many days? Also, is training offered during the day or night?

Yes, they will train you. There isn't that much to it, but someone will show you the process, how the machine works, etc. If you make a mistake or fall behind, someone will step in and help. Basically, you'll show up for your first shift and they'll take it from there.
Good luck
I've worked as a part-time dishwasher in four different jobs. I was shown what to do and how to do it, and put immediately to work. The one part of the job that took the longest to learn was where everything belonged once it was cleaned. Also, every place had their own routine of cleaning, which I learned as I went. Training time was minimal. It was nothing to worry about.
That said, there are more important aspects to the job than training. As someone else said, if you don't know what to do at some point, ask. The boss will want to get you able to function by yourself as fast as possible, so people will probably be very helpful at first. Show up early. Be prepared to stay late. Try your damnedest not to get behind in the dishpit.
Most important, probably, is attitude. Lie if you have to, but somehow convince them that you really love the chance to work there and to be the best dishwasher they've ever seen. So many dishwashers hate their jobs that you can easily stand out if you love it.
Personally I love going into the dishpit for a shift. Good luck.
The training will be quick and at the start of your first shift. I washed dishes at a hospital so it was extra complicated and it took a couple minutes. We scraped into a garbage can that needed a lid kept on, then rinsed, then washed with soap, then soaked in a sink with bleach, then in a rack into a dishwasher with more soap. Hospitals care more about germs so we threw away any dish that had the slightest nick.
Those are questions that you ask during the interview...Not Yahoo Answers
a few hours maybe............................
You need training to wash dishes? You are down in the dumps, aren't you!
On the job training? Yes, they send you to a dishwasher school for 6 weeks where you will have intensive training from dozens of instructors.
Either that or they point you to the dishwasher and say "have at it"
Your training should last less than 5 minutes.
How many training do you think you need to wash dishes? Most of the training would be how they want the washing area cleaned up if that's part of your job.
< then for how many days? >
Hahahahahahaha
Have you ever washed dishes before? There is no training involved for washing dishes. You haven't even been interviewed yet. Omg!
