No no no. I stopped smoking eight month ago but I am still on the side of people who choose to smoke. Smoking has been banned from the work place and then all public buildings including places of recreation such as pubs. I used to go in a pub where all the customers and bar staff smoked. Then the new law came out and we all had to go outside to smoke, how stupid is that?
My car and my home are my castle, my own personal space. I will never allow any nanny state Government dictate to me if I can or cannot smoke in my own home.
I guess I shouldn't be shocked to hear people saying yes, but I am. Obviously smoking should not be banned in your home. Smoking is a bad habit and is very hard on your lungs. The truth is though that fewer than 10% of smokers get lung cancer and 2nd hand smoke does not endanger any one. These are not my opinions they are scientific fact. People have been brainwashed by the media and believe smoking is the greatest danger facing America when in reality diabetes is. Sugar is FAR more deadly than even cigarettes.
No; Because the constitution doesn't yield any "right to smell-free air" and the only reason it doesn't have a right specifically to smoke cigarettes is because the founding fathers never even thought their would be a prissy, full-of themselves generation ignorant enough to think a persons needed a specific constitutional right to light a 2" x 1/4" dried leaf; but I will say the right to do so is entirely inferred.
This country wastes way too much time and resources trying push dictatorship - which the US was not and should not ever become. IMO. All the little Hitlers in the US should be extradited as traitors to stop them from trying to foul up this country with their insider attacks on the "land of the free". Let them pass their preference "laws" against the Jews somewhere else.
Sure. Then do spot checks. Just send the smoking police around to different neighborhoods randomly. Give every adult in any home where they smell cigarette smoke a ticket that carries a fine of thousands of dollars. If they can't pay, take their home and kick them out. On the street. Even in the winter. Good idea, eh?
there were 2 issues 1- issue 4: smoke less ohio: banned it in all places except for bars, nightclubs, bowling allys, and some restaurants 2- issue 5: smoke free ohio: TOTAL ban exept for indoors that is gay, a few people bitching over 2nd hand smoke, have the smoking banned. for god's sake, we have grown and smoked tobacco since the puritain days in the 1700's. We have way more important issues in america then smoking. Little FN CRYBABIES
No, what about drinking, what TV program you watch, the food you eat at home? If you don't like smoke don't visit. Stop imposing your beliefs and desires on others..that is a slippery slop that can come back and effect you one day. There are people who don't agree with something you do, you want to stop because someone tells you too and they don't even live with you?
A condo association could make such a ban and inforce it legally ..In my house there is a no smoking rule but it is my choice if you want to smoke you can sit on the porch and smoke but not in the house...I think it would be difficult for the government to pass a law like that and inforce it ...But in California they seam to do weard laws like that so anything is possable
Privacy laws man. You are actually in favor of police checking in every homes to see if the persons smoked or not...sounds like what the Nazis did in World War II as well as the Soviets in the Cold War, so basically you're in favor of eroding civil liberties, it backfires and caused the country to fall into a dictatorship.
They've already banned smoking in apartments buildings. But you can't stop people from doing what they want in their own home where they pay the bills.

hard to ban smoking and drinking.
