Do you think it’s wrong that I want to join the Police when I did something bad in the past?
I got angry and scratched my dad’s car it was totally out of character because I’m not usually that kind of person. Please can you give me your thoughts thanks.
You know what, people make mistakes. You know that it was out of charactor and you know that you will never do it again. That is part of growing up, you learn about things and you either decide to fix them or keep doing them. I say go for it and try to become a law enforcement officer. I have been on the job for 6 years now, and its been the most rewarding thing I ever did. I have saved 4 people's lives, almost delievered a baby, arrested some pretty bad people, and made a lot of great friends in the business in the area I work. I love making a difference in people's lives. That is why I got into law enforcement. Good luck buddy. Don't worry about scratching your dad's car.
My advice to you, try and get a job as a Police Dispatcher first, see if you like it. That experience really helps you a lot in the Police Academy
If you were a teenager at the time and found yourself sitting handcuffed in the backseat of a police car then your record should be sealed. You should have no problems. Just do one thing; when you have a 15 year old or teenager handcuffed in the backseat of your police car for a similar offense just tell them that when you were your age you found yourself sitting where they are and that if they never find thenselves sitting handcuffed in the back of a police car they could end up like you.
You should try a ride along first. You may have to sit n the back if theres 2 officers.
