If you gain more muscle or get jacked, you're going to most likely gain weight. Muscle outweighs fat. Mix cardio workouts with machines or iron. You'll balance out your workouts and you'll see results sooner than not.
First things first....Don't worry about terms like "toned," "jacked," "ripped," etc. Those are all subjective terms that don't really have any scientific meaning, and the definitions will vary in terms of who is using them.
Instead, think of terms of the two (AND ONLY TWO) things you can do by exercise. Think in terms of building muscle and burning fat. These are the two things you are going to do to your body by exercising and eating right.
Lastly, forget about your WEIGHT. Remember what I said about building muscle and burning fat? The only way you are going to keep your weight from going up is to burn fat faster than you build muscle...and eventually, you are going to stop burning fat.
Look at it this way...If you put on 20 lbs of muscle, and burn 10 lbs of fat....are you *REALLY* going to be upset that you gained 10 lbs of weight?
I consider myself toned. I dont go to the gym, but do a lot of physical activity like surfing and swimming which helps build muscle and tone my body but i havent gained weight.
I guess toned means your muscles are defined and apparent but your body is still your normal size; jacked, I thinks means toned and large body, not 100% on this.
