So I checked my credit report. And a debit that my ex paid off is still on my credit report. But it was taken off here's. Is the creditor obligated to also remove the negative feedback off my credit report or am I stuck with the negative feedback while my ex walks away with no more negative feedback from that creditor on their credit report?

Does the amount show $0.
Was it a one time item such as an utility bill or medical bill?
Try disputing it with the bureaus.
Often after a small bill has been paid for at least a couple of years, a collection agency will not bother to verify the item and it drops off your reports.
Know that there are THREE reports. Not just one.
This may be showing up on your other 2 reports so dispute it there also.
Keep notes of what you do on a sheet of paper.
All 3 reports are free once a year (sounds like you actually paid for the one you got).

No credit/ debit card required. Leave it in your wallet.
you forgeot to mention was the obligated party only you. Was it negative on her report as well or was she just an authorized user and the negative never actually on her report. If they removed from her likely should remove from you it all depends on how people are entered on the file. Authorized users can have negative feed back because of their usage once account paid (or their usage) it is removed not so for a co signer
maybe she disputed the validity of the account to the credit bureaus and they found that she was not liable for the debt, or the creditor did not verify the debt alltogether. Either way, if it is your debt...I has a legitimate right to be on your credit report.
State your case to the credit company.
