Still messing with my list. I've changed Cillian to Ciarán, because I'm not liking the "kill" pronunciation it keeps getting.
Is it possibly to still use the nickname Kelly for Ciarán? Or is that pushing it?
Would Kendal with the nickname Kelly work better?
Paul Kendal Jefferson Padraig
Ciarán Séamus Russel Padraig "Kelly"
OR
Paul Ciarán Russel Padraig
Kendal Séamus Jefferson Padraig "Kelly"
Which set is better?
Update:Wrong, Cillian is not pronounced Sill-ee-an. You obviously know nothing about the Gaelic pronunciations.
Cillian has a hard k sound, seeing as it's derived from Ceallach (KEL achk).
Update 3:Ya, I did have the Cillian "Kelly" since it does work well, I just can't get over the pronunciation.

I think it's pushing it a little bit, although it's a nickname so it doesn't really have to make too much sense. However, if you do want it to be a little more intuitive, Kendal works a lot more nicely, and it goes wonderfully with Séamus. Kellen could work as well, and is similar in sound to Cillian.
I like both Cillian and Ciaran (sorry don't know how to do the accent on my keyboard). I think Kelly works better with Cillian but really a nickname can be whatever you want, so pick the name you like best. I'm not a big fan of Kendal.

I like Paul Kendal the best. I think most people would have a very hard time pronouncing Ciaran correctly. I had to look it up actually. If you want to use Kelly as a nickname, go for it. There are no rules to follow with nicknames.
I suppose Kelly would be closer in sound to Kelly, but there's nothing really stopping you from using Kelly as a nickname for Ciarán. I actually think Ciarán is a much nicer name than Kendal myself.
Another option you could consider is using Kelly as a middle name for Ciarán and calling him by his middle name, which wouldn't be too uncommon
Paul Ciaran Russell Padraig + Kendal Seamus Jefferson Padraig(Kelly)but mam you pick whichever ones you want, because this going to be your son's name, and after all that is the way it should be!
Paul Kendal is my favorite out of these and not sure about Kelly??? Is there a reason that you want him to have that as a nichname? I think that Kendal would be nice...good luck
I liked Cillian though =[
I like Paul Kendal too!
ok i prefer Ciaran... Ciaran Russel Jefferson Padraig is best..
Kendal i think just sounds like Canderel...
Cillian is pronounced Sill-ee-an not Kill-ee-an.
i think u could use Kelly for a nickname for Ciaran...
pronounciation is Keer-an... for anyone thats wondering.
Another nickname for Margaret is "Peggy".
You pronounce the name the way you and your spouse agree on. May make a totally new pronounciation: (kel-E-an)
