'Way back when I was more familiar with physics equations
(I've forgotten a lot)
I calculated how much constant braking force would be required to stop the rotation of the Earth over the period of an hour.
(Note: the terminology "the rotation of the Earth" indicates to the savvy that I was employing Classical Mechanics here, which is appropriate in this sort of problem.)
The force required is so tiny that people would not be able to feel it.
SO: could God have "braked" the Earth's rotation for a day, and then "spun it back up" again...
It's not very likely that God stopped the rotation of the Earth that would have resulted in 5 mi high tidal waves.
He didn't move the sun either. God simply raised the spiritual consciousness of the men that were fighting to that of an Angel. The Bible says that we were created a little lower than angels so God temporarily gave this group of people the timeline of the Angels.
This made it appear to everybody that the Sun had stopped moving. When it was in fact the man and the women that had been quickened or accelerated to the next level of spirituality.
For all practical purposes time slowed down for those people and that is how they recorded it the sun stood still
The sun is a star and always has been. Now, if God is all powerful, as claimed, God can do things beyond your imagination and you really would not need to try to resort to finding explanations for things that didn't happen. Realistically, what we would find is, looking across world history and everything we have evidence for, a series of anomalies that match what the Bible claims but can not be explained by any natural causes
The sun is not a star. As the Bible makes very clear, the sun is a light. Believe the Bible and not so-called "science". And the sun moves, not the earth.

Much easier to use supplemental lighting, of his own design.

without people even realizing it?
Yes, of course he could.

The joiash planet people may have done that.
