1) The Creator of the universe recognizes you as a “fallen creature.”
2) You are basically evil in nature.
3) The Creator of the universe required a blood sacrifice just even consider you worthy of his presence.
4) Humanity will never overcome its problems and is doomed regardless of any progress.
5) We are powerless ignorant children that can never really grow up.
It just seems like a recipe for depression and anger to me.

Your description sounds like a lawyer in court - you know stretching everything to their purpose, and not even concerned about the truth.
Because your looking at it negatively.
1) God made us sinful so He could forgive us and show us what love is.
2) We all possess an evil human nature that pulls us to follow the lusts of our flesh. That is so we will choose God over the evils we want to do. That is the test. He wants to see who will choose Him over following after our lusts. Again He's looking for love.
3)The blood sacrifices of the old covenant were only so that we would understand what Jesus did on the cross when he became the final blood sacrifice for man's sins.
4) Humanity has every opportunity to let go of our sin and choose God. He promises to work all things for good to those that love Him.
5) When we ask Christ into our hearts we become children of God. You become born into His family. Much better than being an outsider. His children are getting an inheritence that eternal and incoruptible.
Now see, it's the exact opposite of how you are seeing it. It's loving and hopeful and good.
Peace.
His Glory.
The interpretations vary.
Personally, I cannot see how anyone would take the bible literally. It is a rather hateful and prejudiced document, especially the depiction of Yahweh and his murderous antics.
People continue to believe in Christianity, I think, because it was the religion they were raised in, it is reinforced by some cultural niches (where other beliefs or atheism is frowned upon), and many churches emphasize the more positive aspects of the religion, while glossing over the negative (you'd never realize the hatefulness in the song "our god is an awesome god" except through the line "he poured out his rage over Sodom," and even then it's a small line. The P.R. is everything, and they need to attract new members. "He's a loving god," (but he murders cities full of people and sentences people to death for working on the Sabbath) or "Jesus loves you," (but he comes with the sword) etc, and other assertions that really don't conform to the Bible.
Consider that 4 in 10 Americans believe the earth is less than 10,000 years old, I think many of them are fine with simply conforming with what was taught to them, instead of examining different points of view.
P.S. I am now going to critique His Glory and laugh:
"1) God made us sinful so He could forgive us and show us what love is"
How is this loving? According to the bible, sin leads to murder, death, and all horrible things. God needs to kill us so he can forgive us and appear more loving? Does a parent need to massacre their child to show they love them?
2) We all possess an evil human nature that pulls us to follow the lusts of our flesh. That is so we will choose God over the evils we want to do. That is the test. He wants to see who will choose Him over following after our lusts. Again He's looking for love.
Looking for love by having us reject a nature that he is responsible for. Again, not getting it.
3)The blood sacrifices of the old covenant were only so that we would understand what Jesus did on the cross when he became the final blood sacrifice for man's sins.
So blood sacrifices and murdering things is a sign of love and redemption?
4) Humanity has every opportunity to let go of our sin and choose God. He promises to work all things for good to those that love Him.
And god has every opportunity to change the rules. But he does not -- so why is he considered good, when things like the Black death killed off millions of his faithful followers?
5) When we ask Christ into our hearts we become children of God. You become born into His family. Much better than being an outsider. His children are getting an inheritence that eternal and incoruptible.
The promise of an afterlife. Can you prove this?
Now see, it's the exact opposite of how you are seeing it. It's loving and hopeful and good.
I did not see one bit that was either good or hopeful, except the promise of an afterlife. But how can you prove it?
1- Only God is not fallen. He alone is perfect..
2- Human animal is NOT evil by human nature.
3- Yepper.
4- Right. God doesn`t expect or demand perfection. We are not now and never will be perfect. ONLY God is perfect.
5-Oh, some of us do grow up just fine. Some don`t..
Now what are your points again?
1- We are each special to God.
2- He loves us, no matter what.
3- He provides for us. Our every need is met.
4- He blesses me going out and coming in, He blesses me in the fields and in the streets.
5- He is our comfort and strength.
I could go on and on..
Peace & God bless from Texas <><
1.) The creator loves you and is willing to forgive you for all time for succumbing to sin.
2.) You are a sinner, because that's what you've chosen for yourself through your own choices and actions.
3.) The creator wants to destroy sin so that it can never again harm your eternal soul, and because he loves you so much, gave his only son up in order to accomplish such a task.
4.) Humanity is only doomed if it rejects Jesus. But if humanity accepts Jesus for who he claimed to be, humanity is saved! (Your choice. Make it today!)
5.) On the contrary, God tells us in the bible, that we can mature in him, and become a very godly person, even here on earth surrounded by vicious lions like you!
It angers and depresses you because thats how you choose to see it. You simply need a new perspective.
It is not a negative belief.
1. God loves you.
2. God gave His own Son to die for you.
3. God forgives you.
4. Jesus died for us.
5. Treat others as you want to be treated.
6. Accept Jesus, follow Him, go to Heaven.
What is the problem with that?
How is that so very horrible?
I agree. The things you named are some of the many reasons I left Christianity.
It is curious you see it that way.
Make no mistake though ALL religions see humans and the human race as perpetuators of their own destruction through free will. But they also see the Human Condition as innately resurrectable and not Utterly hopeless through free will as well.
You know all that is in the Bible, but ignore the solution to it all?
God reveals to us exactly what we are and THEN gives us a cure for it in the man, Jesus Christ!
All that He did on the cross and rising the third day is in order to offer humans a way OUT of the misery!
Because,
By the deeds of the law there shall no person be
justified in God’s sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin and all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:20, 23
Then,
They all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Thessalonians 2:12 Also I say unto you, whosoever shall confess me (Jesus) before men, him shall the Son of man (Jesus) also confess before the angels of God: But he that denies me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.. Luke 12:8-9
However.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
For,
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me. John 14:6
Therefore,
If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans 10:9
Then,
He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white robes; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Revelation 3:5
So,
That whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:15
You are a perfect candidate to smoke weed and bury your head in the sands. Religion may be more of a reflection of you than of itself.
