I was wondering if a person necessarily loses consciousness when they sustain a traumatic brain injury. I suffered a fall several years ago in which I hit my head pretty hard, but I stayed conscious and didn't seem to have symptoms of concussion. I have been suffering some symptoms in common with those of mild TBI for years. I'm wondering if they might possibly be the result of my fall or if I can rule it out.

btw, Mild Traumatic Brain Injury is the most common type of TBI. it's often missed at time of initial injury, and a fair amount have symptoms that last years, or a lifetime.
