Or are there additional steps? Because from what I've learn a PTA only requires an A.S Degree. I am a little confused with the vast amount of information I found online and just need some clarification.

A PTA can always go back to school to become a PT, like any other person. However, being a PTA first does not serve as a stepping stone to the PT degree. One would first have to go back and earn a BS degree, starting with general education, prerequisite and major-specific course work. Once in the PT program, a PTA might be able to clep out of a couple classes, but in reality won't graduate any faster than their non-PTA peers. In short, PTA's should not expect to get through PT school and the undergraduate course work any significantly faster than any other student.
Yes, but you will first need to earn a bachelor's degree. Many of the PTA A.S. credits will not transfer to the bachelor's degree program.
I think there are lot of information of it on line. You go on line to be confirmed about your subject as you have mentioned above.
