It would have to be a religion that does not claim to have the only way (see above, in the responses ! ), that is suited to a world where different religious communities live closely side by side, where individuals make their own religious choices and change religions or have none. In short, a religion that can set an example of tolerant religious modernity that other communities would be compelled to some extent to imitate. Because the older religions - I do not call them darker, more like out of their depth in the world today - are not going to vanish, they will have to be transformed, from their own cultural resources, from influences from the postmodern world, and from rivalry and brotherhood with other religious communities. The role of early Christianity in the transformation of synagogue Judaism is a case in point - the learning went both ways, and Judaism was transformed from a tribal religion to a religion for a minority community living in a world-encompassing empire.

The Light has a name ... actually many names:
The Word
Emmanuel
The Truth
Rabbi
The Life
Yeshua
The Light
Jesus
The Way
Lord
Savior
Your question:
No, those religions are theologically dark.
Ummm, no, example: scientology
I'd never heard of bahai until the single person here started discussing it, so let's exclude that one as its relatively unheard of...
But the answer is no. They won't "clean anything up".
That's like asking if throwing vodka on a fire that was started with whiskey is a good idea.
