You never sworn in and never signed a legal contract so no it won't affect your odds of getting in the Air Force. As long as you meet the Air Force requirements, then you are good. However, they will know that you initated the process with the Navy, but they really don't care. Me being in the Navy for 12 years, I recommend you always be honest with your Chain of Command, but overall they will know.

Our experience with the navy does not disqualify you from the USAF. Yes you must be truthful.

the odds of the AF dealing with someone who failed to keep their commitment to another branch for spurious reasons is very low. oh, and BTW.. being 3 pounds underweight is not a reason they would have refused to enroll you into DEP. hell you could have shipped out to boot camp.
