8 years ago I was arrested for a domestic violence charge in Ohio. When I was took to jaiI had to sign a paper saying I couldn’t have, buy, or posses a gun. When I went to court my whole case was no billed (dropped) to the fact that my ex made everything up. When I search my record the D.V. Is still on it but says no billed. So can I buy a gun or will this cause a problem when they do a background check for buying a gun?

Contrary to the first 2 answers, the CORRECT answer is that if the charge was dismissed without a conviction, the ban on possession a firearm DIED with the charge. The paperwork you signed stated you were not allowed to possess a gun while the charge was pending.
There is no way to know OTHER THAN requesting a copy of the transcript.
Without reading the Court record there is no way to know if the gun restriction was lifted or modified.
