I was talking to my boyfriend about a new position at work that involves negotiating with repair shops and agreeing on a price, i work in insurance. And as I was telling him about it he was quiet for a sec and then said I won’t be good at that because I’m shy. I took it as he doesn’t believe in me, he’s supposed to be supportive lkke i am with him, always positive when he tells me about his dreams and not taking him down, there is enough people like that in life for us to be like that. He kept saying it’s the truth and that I won’t be good at that. Am I wrong to be upset? We have been having a lot of issues lately

He’s right to be honest. Shy people suck at sales. There’s a difference between believing in someone and being realistic. You can improve maybe, but it’s always going to be hard for you
Tell him if he doesn’t understand relationships, he shouldn’t be in one. You’ll be good because you believe in what you’re doing.
