I love both of these names, but I feel like they're too close spelling wise. I don't like the spelling Shawn, and there is no other way to spell Dean. Do you think they are too close of names for brothers? Why or why not?

♡ Yes. Both names are so alike spelling-wise, that I can't imagine two brothers being named that. The pronunciations aren't very like, which is a good thing, so i'm not really concerned with that. What I am concerned with is that the fact that Dean is basically the same spelling as Sean. You basically are just changing one letter, and that just doesn't do it for me. I agree with you, Sean is the best spelling, as its the traditional Irish/Gaelic spelling, but luckily there are other spelling options. You said you didn't like the spelling Shawn. Me neither, I find it a bit too try-hard. However, i really like the spelling Shaun. Maybe you could use that? If you don't like it, how about Shane? Its the same meaning as Sean, its just a variant. Its quite nice. Good luck! ♡

Shaun is an alternate spelling which looks nicer than Shawn! I know 2 Shauns and 1 Sean
I think if its Dean and Sean even if they're pronounced differently they do seem too matchy!
No, because saying "Dean and Shawn" is exactly the same thing as "Dean and Sean" so it's fine.
I love both.
Good luck :)
You could try Shaun?
I wouldn't use both Dean and Sean - I think there will be endless rhyming jokes. And yes, they're visually really rather similar and sooner or later someone's bad handwriting will get them mixed up.
I love both names, especially Dean. I don't think they are too similar. Go for it, they are really good names for boys!
You could always try Shaun. But whatevs. I think the sound is good but I would try to change the spelling if you could.
The spelling is close, but not the pronunciation. Go for it.
Not really. I don't think it should matter if there spelled similer its still a diffrent name and they don't rhym . Really no problem with it in my opinion plus there brothers it would make sence so have some similer .
I think they work together b/c they are spelled similarly, but they aren't pronounced the same way.
I don't think so. They are obviously spelled very similarly, but they are VERY different in pronunciation.
