This, and many other situations like it, show that people are separated. That people who are black are only okay if they are a certain way. It's a step back from everything we've accomplished.

What's wrong with Herman Cain - AFAIK - is that he was ready just a few weeks ago to embrace a "9-9-9" plan that would have shifted billions of dollars in the US tax burden away from the richest of the rich to dump the burden on the middle class and the poor.

Nobody should be president who's willing to promote a tax "reform" plan that would hurt the most vulnerable Americans for the sake of handing huge new tax breaks to the plutocracy.

Nobody should be president, either, who spends so little time thinking about the details of his tax plan that he's willing to jettison 1/3 of it overnight, in response to outraged public reaction.

Cain is living with his own shortcomings here, he could have been open and forthright and claimed he's reformed before God. That always plays well, but instead we have the fear mongers telling people who don't pay attention to them that they are, once again, afraid of something we aren't in the least afraid of. And there is no point in Dems having released this information now, it would have been far more damaging later. The only ones who would want it out now, are those wishing to have him leave now, rather than later. And that would be those other people Cain's been debating against in his own party.
