Why on earth would anyone want to date men (or women) who are abusive, addicted, or dishonest, or who have a history of drama-filled relationships? You're not being judgmental. You're being smart.

I think you need to see the issues from all sides, I was married 10 yrs had two small children, and divorced, I do drink, but mostly beer but I have a decent job and really am a good husband - you could ask my second wife as we have been married over 20 years and she was a great step mom. Sometimes it is not always the man who is the problem in relationships so you have to judge the person based on multiple factors.
