p=2*(l+b)
127=2*(11+b+b)
127=22+4b
127-22=4b
105/4=b
b+11=l

(127 - 11 - 11) / 4 = 26.25 each for the short sides; add 11 = 37.25 for each long side.
The rectangles length is 11 feet longer than its width
l = w + 11
The perimeter of a rectangle is 127 feet
2l + 2w = 127
Substitute for l = w + 11
2(w + 11) + 2w = 127
Distribute
2w + 22 + 2w = 127
4w + 22 = 127
Subtract 22 from both sides
4w = 105
Divide both sides by 4
w = 26.25 feet <–––––
l = w + 11
l = 26.25 + 11
l = 37.25 feet <––––
