Its nice to hear Sharpton to at least awknowledge that border security is part of the immigration debate, but don’t expect to understand what part security has, since he adds “No one is calling for English-only tests when it comes to fighting in Iraq.” The AP Hispanic Affairs writer, Laura Wides-Munoz, fails to point out that each of the military branches have academic entrance requirements and an admissions test that is English only.
After telling the National Council of The Race™ that blacks must “stand up for” Hispanics, and,
“We cannot have the tribal psychology in the civil rights movement,” he said. “We must fight all for one and one for all, or we lose the moral authority to fight for anybody.
Sharpton engages in astounding display of “us against them” and “tribal psychology,” when he explains that illegal immigration is not affecting black employment levels, saying, rather ungrammatically.

Does this mean he has lost the “moral authority to fight for anybody?”

He talks for himself. Let me give you an example here in Chicago. We want the Olympics. The mayor wants to build a stadium on the South Side - mostly Black area. Will bring jobs, increase property values and businesses.
So Al is combatting police brutality. (which i am not saying is a lie) however he is threatening to take his complaints to the Olympic committee and risk possible EC-O-NOM-IC development in the area. That is some BS. So no - I don't know what drives him. Maybe he does feel morally right. Sometimes I agree with him, but his tactics seem to suggest no strategic platform illuminating some master plan for advancement of Black ppl. It's just media case - by media case.
Al Sharpton is so full of hot air! He is the worse thing that could have happened to the good black people.All I know are just plain good people, they can be the best of friends they don't need him speaking for them they are not stupid, they all speak for themselves. they can't even stand him . he keeps crap going all the time . who gives him the authority to tell any body anything who cares what he thinks or said..and what really sucks he calls himself Rev.
In the world to come, I doubt he gonna get by with that one.
He does not care about the black or white race, it all about power to him.
